Types of GMAT
GMAT Focus Edition
The current version with 3 sections - Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. Computer-adaptive and 2 hours 15 minutes long.

Requirements to take the exam
Age
Must be at least 18 years old. Candidates aged 13-17 may register with legal guardian consent.
Education
No specific educational requirement. Most test-takers hold or are pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Attempts
You can take the GMAT up to 5 times in a rolling 12-month period, with a lifetime limit of 8 attempts.
ID Required
Valid, unexpired passport required for test-takers outside their country of citizenship. Government-issued ID within your country.

Quantitative Reasoning
Problem-solving questions testing arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and word problems. No data sufficiency in Focus Edition.

Verbal Reasoning
Reading Comprehension - main idea, inference, application, and evaluation questions on 200-350 word passages

Data Sufficiency - determine whether given data is sufficient to answer a question
Multi-Source Reasoning - analyze data from multiple tabs/sources
Table & Graphics Interpretation - extract and analyze data from tables and charts
